Hello all, This seems like a very friendly mustang board, and I am happy to have found it! My name is Jason, Im 30, married and born & raised in San Antonio. I am a moderator on www.UnitedStangs.com and love the Mustang and chatting with other like-minded people. We have alot of newer Mustang fans over there, but I will always have a soft spot for a beautiful classic stang. I had a good chat with Tom Bader, and very much look forward to meeting him and some other fine members of your site! I am trying to re-vive the local cruisin car scene to what alot of us remember from years past. If you are able to make it out to Blanco's Mexican Restraunt (1240 Austin Hwy) on Friday nights, I would love to see you there! Its just a few blocks down from Bun N Barrel, on the same side. I am tired of the same old scene at Biffs and the Pig Stand, and hope to make this as popular as Bun N Barrel was for the last several decades. Thanks for listening, and hope to meet you soon! hey jason, good to see you here,my name is jimmy and i am a moderator for the san antonio f-body association,i met a couple of your members on bandera road in a gt500 and they told me about the site,i drive a 2000 SS camaro and i look forward to meeting and hanging out and making new friends at one of your meets,i am a die hard chevy guy but i love the mustang it is a beutiful car and a more than worthy challenger,i am going to link you site on the san antonio f-body association site,if you have any question my screename over there is the same as on here, here is a link to our site we are having problems with the www.sanantoniof-body.com link so heres one that works fine maccardi.proboards22.com/index.cgi

Hello, My name is Elliot, and I own an 02' Firebird. Last night, I purchased an '06 Mustang GT convertible. I was wondering if there were any forums recommending locations within the San Antonio area as to where I can have aftermarket products purchased and installed onto my Mustang - ex. spoiler, lightbar, hood, etc. If not, I was wondering if anyone could introduce me to some reliable businesses.
Thanks

Hi every body my name is Gary, im 52 years old but since buying my 07 GT a month ago, I am now just 32. My first car was a 65 Mustang 2+2, I was 17 at the time. It had the Hi-Po 289 -271 horse "Cobra Powered By Ford" engine, with T-10 4 speed. I had a lot of fun showing off in the high school parking lot with it.
I am hopeing to find some men and women near my age to talk to. People that can relate to the "old day's" so to speak. I have been out with the Lone Star Stangs some, and they are nice people, but I'm old enough to be everyones Father.
It would be pretty cool to talk with others who can relate to the difference between the old and the new Mustangs. My 07 is black with white stripes down it. It has the premium interior with 5 speed manual. I just installed a set of Pypes Violators mufflers, polished stainless, and look and sound great.
I also installed a C&L Cold Air Intake and bought the SCT X-cal2 tuner and I am running the 93 octane tune. The difference is so vast, its a compleatly new car, and its allready that. Off idle throttle responce is like a Ferrarri, and the lag is gone. My gas mileage has gone up to over 20mph in town, gassing it every chance I get. Sorry for the long introduction, you can see I really love my car.
Hope to see yopu all soon ......Gary

Hi Just joined the club, but have not attended any meeting yet. Had a little trouble with the shifter on my 65 Coupe, but fixed now. Plan to attend the cruising night at the Forum, not exactly sure where at the Forum yet. Just bought the Coupe a short while ago and have not driven it much, came out of San Diego. I also have a Harley and dividing my time between the two. Very interesting in meeting some of the you folks at the cruise night or the next meeting.
::)Looking forward to meeting everyone, Hank Tomlinson

Howdy Jason, my name is Gary. I like your ideas, and for me Biffs is a joke, and I have only been there twice. Im the proud owner of an 07 Black clearcoat GT with white stripes down it. I have done a few modifications to it and its running high 12's in the quarter, when I get my launch right.
You seem very like minded as my self, but im older at 52. I hung out some with Lone Star Stangs, and I like them all, im just old enough to be everyones father, including you. I will get out to Blanco's if not tonight, next Friday. I plan on going to the coast tomorrow, and plan to wax my ride here in a minute. My old butt will be tired after wards, but you never know! Glad to meet you here sir.
Gary

My name is James, and I own a "67 Coupe. It's currently sitting in my garage out in Lakehills. I have been rebuilding my Pony since I bought it in '98. The suspension has been totally rebuilt, the engine a 289 that has been bored out to 306. It still needs an induction system, cam, and heads. I am looking for a quality shop that can fix some bad metal. I have rust in the trunk, floor pans, and front fender wells. I had the car in a body shop for xtensive work, but they apparently used it as "filler work" for those times that business was slow. Needless to say, they missed a lot of spots, and did shoddy work in others. I found 2 shops in the San Antonio area which pique my interest; Jeff Lilly and Alamo Classic Mustang. Does anyone have experience with either of these shops? Thanx!
