Since no one seems to be chatting much on here, but we seem to be collecting members ... Let's try this! My name is Traci. I am in San Antonio, and have a 1968 Mustang Coupe (in case there was a question about my User ID). My little 'Stang is 100% original, and is only notable because there were only 853 of them made that had a Bench Front Seat in them. It has a little 289 and the C4 transmission. It is what is considered a "Barn Rat," at this point. When I found it, they had just drug it out of a barn in Kansas and were hosing the hay and rat poop out of it ... I've had it for almost a decade, but haven't been able to work on it too much ... I am a Mommy, and up until recently, my kids were a little more demanding of my time ... We started to tinker with it about a year or so ago, and it has been slow progress -- largely due to the fact that I have these little pencil arms and wrenching is kinda difficult for me. (THAT, and the ol' bank book isn't too enthused about the parts that I purchase! LOL!!) Smiles, Traci

[glow=red,2,300]Thank You for your comments. [/glow] I think the membership of the San Antonio Mustang Club should all try to write something about their current mustang and share information with everyone else. Steve

I'd like to hear about anyone that is registered on the site ... If they are here, it's because they are interested in, or have had a 'Stang, or currently have one ... Allllll stories are welcome!!! Traci

Hello everyone! I'm a single 45-yr. old elem. teacher and I just joined the Club at tonight's meeting. I've been a Mustang fan all my life and finally bought myself one a year ago for Christmas. It's a pretty little silver 2004 Pony and lots of fun. My daughter's got a 1994 Convertible, her dream car since she was a child. I'm looking forward to participating in Club events. Thanks!

My name is Clay Simmons and I amd a Mustang owner. I have a 1989 LX 5.0 that I purchased brand in November 1988 from Salinas Valley Ford. I plan on joining your club except I keep forgetting when the meetings are! I hope to make it to next months meeting. My Mustang has been from coast to coast and just recently spent the last 5 years in storage in California - I'm in the military and I was stationed in Korea. Anyway, I hope to make it to next months meeting.

Hi, I'm Al I have a 92lx notch and an 03gt. I just moved to Pipe Creek from Aurora Ill. back in the summer. I brought the 92 down in parts, motor in the bed of my truck (96 F150 with a 5.0), body on a trailer. The motor is built 5.0 .040 over, custom pistons, and cam, main girdle windage tray 7qt pan, shot peaned crank and rods. Ported tw heads and ported Holley Systemax efi, 30lb injectors, adjustable fuel reg., accufab 75mm throttlebody. Home made 4"alluminum cold air intake with 8" afm filter and 80mm mass air meter. Tranny was in Florida when I got here, being built at promotion powertrain it's a tremec 3550 with all tko insides and 5th removed, pro 5.0 shifter, dual friction clutch and pressure plate, billet flywheel, lakewood bell and adjustable quadrent and fire wall adjuster. Alluminum driveshaft, 8.8 with pro 5.0 4:56 gears still need to be put in 4:10's in now. Southside lift bars motorsport uppers boxed, lakewood 50/50 shocks. New gas tank and fuel lines, 255lph pump. Front suspention is upr chrome molly tube "k" member and "a" arms, coil over strut with 145lb springs and lakewood 90/10 struts. Computer is A9L and Anderson motorsport PMS, with MSD digital 6 ignition box. Rear mount battery with a optima, with a electric water pump and Lincoln Mark IIIV fan the optima is a must, 130amp altinator out of a 95 couger was a must also. Aluminum rad. with polised stainless hold down plate. Poly race seats 8pt cage and 5pt harness new carpet and a mix of red and grey inside, 88lx dash and tilt wheel helps get in and out. It's painted Wild Strawberry ford color and has a small 2.5 cowl hood, weld draglites on front slicks on draglites for track and nitto 555r's on pony's for street. Don't have plates on it yet and have no job at the moment, so it will be awhile. Still have the 03GT to race through these hills OH YEA thats a blast, no roads like this in Ill. Only upgrade to it is a BBK cia. has flames on it though, I'm starting a vinyl sticker shop out here in Pipe Creek, at 43, I'm tired of being a machinist and what a better place to start my own than Tx. Anyone need or just want any graphics, stickers, or lettering let me know. mustang_al@sbcglobal.net Thanks
Al

Welcome Al,
Sounds like a great business to be in. Do you have a website?

No Steve, I don't have a website. Out here we only have dial up, so it's not fast enough to up load pics, and updating would take way to long. And I've just started doing this so the funds are not there yet to afford to pay someone to do it. I can send lettering price list or e-mail pics of things that I have done work on. I've got the equipment to go mobile so I will be out at the shows and meets this summer. Thanks
Al

Hey,
How is everyone? I am the new kid on the block. I bought my first Mustang in Nov. 05, it is a 06 GT and I have have been having a blast. Just put a Hurst shifter on Wed evening and what a difference, very short throw. I removed the mufflers and weilded on 3" staiaght pipes to 3 1/4" tips and it sounds awesome. I also put on a C&L cold air and am running the Diablosport 87 octane tune. I look fotward to meeting some of you and learning more about Stangs. I got my first ticket the morning before Thanksgiving 05 running 98. At 44 who said you cannot have some fun with your car.
You all have a great day, Brett

Heah I just came back to the area. I'm originally from San Antonio but I've been away for the last 7yrs. I own a 67 Mustang that's candy apple red with a black vinyl top. It has a 289 2v engine with a 4 spd trans. I was wondering where every one hangs out to check out each others cars and swap ideas. My next project is to switch out the front drum brakes for wilwood disk brakes after that I hope I can switch out the trans. Well hopefully I'll make the next meeting.
Later, Jaime

Hello all, This seems like a very friendly mustang board, and I am happy to have found it! My name is Jason, Im 30, married and born & raised in San Antonio. I am a moderator on www.UnitedStangs.com and love the Mustang and chatting with other like-minded people. We have alot of newer Mustang fans over there, but I will always have a soft spot for a beautiful classic stang. I had a good chat with Tom Bader, and very much look forward to meeting him and some other fine members of your site! I am trying to re-vive the local cruisin car scene to what alot of us remember from years past. If you are able to make it out to Blanco's Mexican Restraunt (1240 Austin Hwy) on Friday nights, I would love to see you there! Its just a few blocks down from Bun N Barrel, on the same side. I am tired of the same old scene at Biffs and the Pig Stand, and hope to make this as popular as Bun N Barrel was for the last several decades. Thanks for listening, and hope to meet you soon!
